Ender 7 Style Fan Duct
Description
Haven't installed it yet but am intrigued by that design, like it :) Anyways, there's two minor gripes, addressed by my remix: 1 - there are mentions (on youtube) that the current Frontplate design may lead to thermal runaway issues due to accidental cooling of the heater block. 2 - the Airduct plate misses a ABL mount Here's my approach: - The Frontplate is slightly modified (actually, remixed from DefyantMods remixed remix https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4912200), I added a basic air guide deflecting the air current from the hotend fan away from the heater block onto the heatsink. This is a very minor air guide since axial fans to not fare too well with any sort of air channel. Should do the trick. - The airduct plate is modified to incorporate a CRTouch mount (may work with a BLTouch as well, no idea). The Mount moves the CRTouch sufficiently away from the blower fan, no need to grind down anything, 2mm space is all that is needed. Due to this "space issue" the CRTouch needed to move to the front a bit, otherwise there would have been a collision issue with the X motor housing ... solved too. The Mount on my mod moves the probe offset to X -48.03 Y -7.76, in addition you will have to reassess the Z offset since the probe is mounted a bit higher than with the official mountplate by Creaklity delivered with the CRTouch (if you listen intensely enough you already know that the CRTouch is said to work better with a slightly higer Z offset anyway). All prints just nice in PETG, I had no issues whatsoever without supports - some minor cleaning is necessary, but that is necessary anyway when supporting the print.
