Rotating Spice Rack Made from 3D Filament Spool

Description

We made a spice rack out of one of the spools used to support 2kg of PLA filament. The filament we use is from Material4Print, but the spool is actually from a company called Häfner, product number SD 300K: https://www.hafner-spools.com/en/products/spools/-/reel-sd-300-k/?sourceProductGroup=6&cHash=e0e28f94f7cdf1862b02745c37e97476 We have also received filaments that are supported by a spool from alpaplastic, product number RS300/15GZ: https://www.alpaplastic.com/en/RS_300_15_GZ.php?cat=3d The compartment inserts should work for both spools, but the alpaplastic spools are a tighter fit. The shelf underneath the spices works well for both spools. We used a soldering iron to fuse four pieces together and then glue it to the spool. The "spice jars" are gum containers. Depending on the gum you use for the spices, the shelf width and shaker insert might have to be modified. The rack rotates because we attached a metallic rotary disc to the base with some wood pieces. The top also has a wood covering, but we want to modify the top to fit more precisely on the spool. Right now we just have toothpicks fragments aligned with the holes in the spool to keep it in place. The top needs to come off to access the inserts, and we can also add more spools to the system to make it a two or three tiered spice rack if we want to.
