Inflate-a-Skate

Description

After deciding to take up ice skating, roller skating, inline skating, and skateboarding, I realized that ice skates could use some improvement in the ankle support provided. The first trip to the ice rink with some foam pads, and they just slipped out. Next, I realize that a blood pressure cuff could be repurposed for the task. In steps a de-seamer tool to carefully remove the existing velcro from the sleeve. Next I trim to width, and hot glue on the velcro hooks to the sleeve. Luckily the inside of my CCM Hockey Skate is attracted to velcro hooks. (test your inner liner for velcro stick). Once the bladder was installed, next was to figure out how to mount the pump bladder. I made a 3D Printable fixture to mount the bulb. Remove the valve from the bulb to install into the fixture. Then tie the fixture on to the back of the skate. Attach the tubing after cutting to length, and you're done... Make sure to not get too carried away on the inflation, and don't cut off your circulation / be careful not to overtighten. Flip the Bulb Holder model on its flat side to print, no supports required. 2 copies for both feet... @OllieAnthem - send love if you like it...
