Tronxy X5SA Pro Low Vertical Top Cable Chain
Description
Love the original model, but it didn't fit my printer. The newer X5SA Pro extruder plates have wider hole spacing and so do the cable chain end links. - Hotend part has recut holes with wider spacing and hole size. Also has the extruder plate upright grip so it cannot move even if screws get a little loose came from the Chain support model. - Bearing parts had the hole spacings widened to fit the X5SA Pro chain end plates. - Frame part is mostly unchanged, except I made it thicker. I didn't like how thin it was. ---------------------------------- -- Print: 1x - hotend piece 1x - frame piece 2x - bearing parts. -- Requires: 2x - 608 skateboard-style bearings -- 4x - M3x8 screws for the chain connectors to bearing pieces. 4x - M3 nuts (regular non-lock nuts). -- Also requires - You should have these from removing the old chain and spares from the original build of the printer. 4x - M4x8-10 screws 2x - M4 T-nuts Install: - Remove end links from chain. Attach them to the bearing pieces. The M3 nuts fit into the long channels of the bearing pieces. The M3 screws go through the chain end link, through the bearing piece into these nuts. If the screws are too long they will reach the bearing and prevent it from inserting or spinning so be careful about depth of the screws. - Insert bearings into the bearing pieces. -- Reattach endlinks. Make sure to rotate the end link on the hotend side 180 degrees. -- Make chain length 32 or less links --(see NOTE) -- Press the bearings down onto the hotend / frame pieces. These were a very tight fit for me and required some sanding. --------------------- NOTE - Stock on my printer was 32 links with 2 end links. I had to remove 1 link on the hot end side to get the cables long enough to fit on top of the extruder plate bearing connector, so really 31 is a minimum. I haven't done it yet, but I might suggest removing 2 or more to shorten how much it sticks out in the back at maximum compression. Just make sure it still reaches at maximum stretch. It appears you have to cut them off, so be sure before you do.
