Bibliotheca Self-Check POS V400 Mount and Drill Guide
Description
Libraries have Moneris Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals mounted on Bibliotheca selfChecks. Switching to the V400 POS terminals, you can't just swap out the devices because they aren't the same size or shape. These two parts make it possible to easily swap out the old terminal by drilling only two new holes, and using some easily available screws/washers. The drill guide part lets you drill holes without having think about the alignment. The cable guard part slides snuggly into the existing metal cable guard to lock the new Moneris V400 terminals on to the selfCheck face plate. I'm typing this from memory, so please comment if anything isn't working for you. 1. Remove the Bibliotheca panel from the machine, and remove the older Moneris terminal. 2. From the back of the large panel, place the two widely-spaces drill guide holes over the two existing welded bolts on the underside of the Bibliotheca faceplate. 3. Drill two holes (5/32 inch drill bit works best) through the two upper guide holes. 4. These new holes line up to screw holes on the back of the V400 terminal. Use two M3 6mm screw with washers to hold the new terminal in place. These screws can be ordered from Amazon easily. You could put some blue Loc-tite fluid on the screws to help them coming loose over time. 5. Once the POS terminal is mounted, fit the block into the metal upper guard so it is straddling the power/data cable coming up through the existing cable opening beneath the terminal. 6. Tighten up all the screws and you're ready to go!
