Traction Tyres for 1/10 adaptable chassis

Traction Tyres for 1/10 adaptable chassis

Description

This is a tyre design for the 1/10 chassis designed by Duke Doks. They print in TPU and then you wrap rubber amalgamating tape around it to fill the recess area. It gives a very high level of grip. You can purchase the tape easily on eBay. These are two links I used, if they become inactive, search for 'Self amalgamating rubber tape': https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/362980565777 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274231822787?var=574336569458 There's 3 STL files: - Chassis. This fits the standard wheels that come with the chassis. - 2 Dodge versions. These are for the front and rear wheels of the DukeDoks Dodge Challenger body which fits this chassis. The chassis and Dodge front tyres use 19mm wide tape, and the Dodge rear should be 25mm (Although you could just use 19mm on that too if you don't want to buy two rolls). The tape is mostly non-adhesive but it sticks to itself. Cut a length around 1m long, and use a finger to hold it against the tyre about an inch from the end. Then grab that loose end, stretch it out a bit and press that part against the tyre and hold it in place as you now work your way around the tyre wrapping it in the tape. Lightly stretch the tape for the first few layers so it's the same width as the recess, and as you go up the layers you can start to lessen the tension. If you're still slighty below or in line with the outer edge of the tyre, you can just wrap another small strip around until you have an acceptable height.
