Makergear M2 Filament Drive with Shrouds V3B Hotend
Description
Working Great On My M2 So Far :) Dial Indicator Mount Added- Drawn For The Harbor Freight Dial Indicator. Please Note That The Filament Path Can Print Tight On These, Causing Dragging. You Will Need To Manually Run Some Filament Through The Filament Drive Until It Is Smooth. I Had Binding Initially, But That Should Cure It. This Set Is Designed To Ideally Be Used With Slipshine'S M2 Printer Spool Holder, Thing 37210 But Should Work With The Factory Tube. It Is Also Designed To Be Used With The V3B Hotend As Well As Two 40Mm Fans. This Set Will Not Fit The 50Mm Bed Fan. I Have Made Small Changes To The Factory M2 Filament Drive Including: Notch For Gear Inspection And Cleaning Dovetails For Shroud Mounting Adjusted For Easier Inserting Of V3B Hotend Smoother Filament Opening For Less Initial Binding Smoother Filament Path Slightly Enlarged Top Filament Hole For Easier Color Swap Slightly Enlarged Nut Traps The Shrouds Are Designed To Be Quick On/Off And To Help Cool The Barrel Of The Hotend Without Excessive Air On The Melt Zone (Hopefully Requiring Less Retraction). Thanks For Mrcleanr6 And His Nice Dovetailed-Drive Which Inspired Mine. Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:344950 I Hope To Soon Incorporate A Similar Path As The Drive Designed By Cas00176 Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:717414 For Work With Flexible Filament.
