Foredom LX control switch
Description
I wanted a way to switch between the benchtop Foredom LX speed controller and the foot pedal without unplugging and plugging things back in. This solved that issue. It has two countersunk holes at the bast to mount to something, and the top of the base is designed to hold two heat-sunk M3 inserts (to attach the top plate to the base). I used these IEC connectors: For the single connector to the Foredom LX DC motor: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PZYJ155 (ixcell C13 10A) For the two C14 connectors to each of the controls (foot and desk -- you will likely need an extension cord for the foot control, because the cables are so short. Any IEC 320 C13 to C14 extension will work): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N2T2N1W And for the switch, I used this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08YMZJ9GL It's a basic DPST switch, so loads on one side, neutrals on the other. Tied ground. The switch has a light, but it requires a continual 120V for the light to function. Since the input is variable, the light will be as well (brightening as speed increases). It does no harm to the switch or the light to not get that solid 120V input. We'll call the dimming light a feature.
