Smooth Sliding Pocket Box Cutter

Smooth Sliding Pocket Box Cutter

Description

I was excited to download and print k-eye's box cutter files but when I assembled them, I found the assembly to function poorly. His photos probably show an original commercial version in aluminum which would work with the utility blade sliding against aluminum. The printed version with the blade cutting edge and opposite edge sliding against plastic was not to my liking. I redesigned it where only plastic parts slide against each other. Had to make it slightly taller to do this but it's still a very compact pocket item. Enjoy and thanks for the idea k-eye! Important! Evidently my un-calibrated printer prints the Z axis .29mm oversized on a 20mm calibration cube. That means your calibrated machine will print it small in the Z axis. You'll have to scale the parts up to where the main body ends up 5.13mm (.203") thick.
