Pico Wind Turbine - VAWT

Pico Wind Turbine - VAWT

Description

This turbine is very simple in construction. I've taken this concept and made ribs for a maslow cnc machine to attach cloth to and possibly silicone or a bag glued to the indside. aluminum 18" or was it 3' flashing is also available blend file only , needs to be scaled up but it is exact... ready for maslow cnc into plywood base The trick to these is to keep them spinning so it should be geared for a car alternator and have an rpm counter (either touching wires or a hall effect sensor) have seen bicycles convert nicely also car front strut hubs with brake system volvo are nice IIRC. frame can be built from 1" square tubing rectangle frame with guy wires for stabilization. also to double the rotational speed they can be counter rotated to eachother with the generator inbetween. https://www.jameco.com/Jameco/workshop/ProductNews/picoturbinekits.html https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=PicoTurbine+-+SAVONIUS+V3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVTqe5zZbV8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oe9RVqZdh9I other turbines of interest https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ieLgv5bDjZs - portable foldout turbine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFY4FLIDy3I - large version with barels https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3420372 - rope tarp wind turbine lots of torque. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FezzmMVdvzQ - counter rotating generator https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GFY5Ad7kRw - bikewheel gear https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlvA99c2xFQ - foldable windgenerator other notes to do it without a cnc could be easy it was easy to build and could be drawn with a peice of string using a circle then at each outer part draw each half then cut with a router or jigsaw.
