Miscellaneous Flute/Music Practice Helpers

Miscellaneous Flute/Music Practice Helpers

Description

I’m not super happy with the stand. It works well enough for the iPad and a hard binder, but not for music booklets (the lip isn't big enough). Use two Medium 3M Command strips (for strength/reliability) and make sure it's level. The two metronome holders are tailored for the Korg TM-60. If others are within a mm of its size it’ll work. One thing that’s important is that if the metronome is smaller than the holder then it’ll rock forward and then it gets annoying to use (because it rocks back and forth every time you use it). Each uses two Small 3M Command Strips (for symmetry, not strength). The Dr. Beat stand is tailored for Dr. Beat, again with the same tolerances. Dr. Beat isn’t a common metronome but it's amazing. Use two Medium 3M Command Strips (for strength) and make sure it's level. The flute stand designs require a piece of felt to be added, but should fit most/all flutes. One is designed to fit on the side of the drawer and be low enough to fit in the clearance above the drawer wall. Not with the flute on it of course... The other attaches to a wall and has two variants: normal, and heavy-duty. For the normal, use a Medium 3M Command Strip. For the heavy-duty, use a Medium 3M Command strip on the bottom portion of each and a Small 3M Command Strip on the top of each. Inspect the top strip periodically; if this mount fails, the top strip should come off first. (In all reality, a single Medium is more than enough to hold the flute, but the extra one both reduces the torque/force on it to make it last longer, and puts the weaker one in a place where you can easily see if the system starts to fail - i.e. if you have an expensive flute and are paranoid about it, use this one).
