Insta360 Invisible Selfie Stick Pack Brace
Description
This is a quick brace I made to hold the Insta360 selfie stick, current version in April 2022 that ships with some bundles of the Insta360 One RS and X. The purpose is to stick the selfie stick in the brace and shove the whole thing in a pack, in my case specifically the Solomon 12L Advanced Skin. By putting the top of the stick through the existing loop at the top of the water bladder pocket and this brace sitting at the bottom of the water bladder pocket the selfie stick stays pretty secure and you can extend the pole above your head to get some pretty cool 360 video when you want to go hands free. I realize this is a very narrow use case but it takes me 5 minutes to upload it here and if even one person finds it useful it's worth that 5 minutes. Print in a flex filament such as TPU. The hole for the stick is intentionally tight so the camera can't get twisted and you need some flex to get it in there. If you print in PLA or PETG you'll have to either expand the model in your slicer by a percent or two (i haven't tested) so that it'll fit. Yes 360 records in 360 so it 'shouldnt' matter what direction the camera is aimed in, I prefer to keep the stitch lines in predictable places. If I want the best quality forward or rear, I point the camera forwards or backwards (doesn't matter) and if I want the best quality to the sides I point the camera to one side or the other so that the primary view is stitch line free.
