Hook for cheap curtain rod for 3d-printer filament
Description
This is a standoff hook for the $7 curtain rods from Ace Hardware. It sticks out approximately 10cm from the wall (Enough to give generic spools 1 cm clearance from the wall) and uses the 7cm 16lb Velcro command strips. Because of the weight of filament, I recommend a max of 4 spools of filament per hook separated by another hook, because they will bend the curtain rod and break it. For infill, the more the better. I used 40% but you can use more. It is quite large and will use up to 110g of filament at 100% infill. For stronger parts in general, I recommend .28 or more for the extrusion diameter because of layer adhesion. I will also recommend using an abrasive sandpaper on the 3d print so that the command strip sticks to the Pretty much overengineered. I put these up over my 3d printers so I dont want to take my chances.
