Dual Material, Quiet Infinity Cube
Description
I found that infinity cubes are fun but *loud*. I wanted to print one where the insides and hinges were normal filament (for rigidity and smooth movement) but the corners would be a flexible filament which could absorb those noises. Seems to work pretty well. A nice side effect of TPU the shell is that the parts are replaceable, parts won't snap, and it's a lot easier to loosen up. _I didn't make the base model, someone else did on Onshape (can't recall the creator), I just copied and modified it so that the outer corners of the cubes are separable and can be printed with a different material._ My copy on Onshape: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/c0c5acbaed642e2839fe49f1/w/424a4927670d8b831d2e7b71/e/b72843527073f9c3d3d15599?renderMode=0&uiState=624e29e69ef46504cd207a8e (If you want to customize the part sizes, suppress/unsuppress the last two entries on that file to swap between the shell (corners) and the skeleton (inside) for export.)
