HPI Savage Body Mount with nut lock
Description
Hello everyone, first and foremost I must send a very big "THANK YOU" to alexandridk for allowing me to modify his original design for the HPI Savage Body Mount. His design (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4598871) is absolutely perfect, sturdy and a great base for my personal version. So now, back to this thing. I decided to do my own version to improve sturdyness and getting the rid of the body clips to secure the bodyshell to truck. This is acheived thanks to the M4x16 screws that will be locked to the center plate, allowing the post nut to hold the body securely. Having the same size of the original one, you can retrofit your bodyshell and the design in compatible to body Big Bores or 8 shocks setup. To have a full set you will need to print the following: 2x CenterPlate 4x Pilon 4x PostNutHolder Also you will require the following hardware: 4x M4x16 screws with 7mm hex head 8x M4 nuts 7mm hex size 4x M3x8 screws The center plate is designed to have a socket (bottom side) where to fit the M4 screw that will be secured with a M4 nut on the top side. The pilons are secured to the center plate with the M3 screws that has been resized to stick onto the original Savage and accept that kind of screw. Take in mind that on the top side of the center plate you will find a socket for the M3 screw in order to leave the surface smooth and clean. The M4 nut must be super glued to the bottom socket of the Post Nut Holder and it will accept both self locking nuts and standard ones. Everything should be plug and play on your truck and you will no longer worry for lost clips during hard bashing.
