Biqu B1 Volcano Part Cooling Fanduct
Description
A part cooling fan duct for my modified Biqu B1. **Does only work with a Volcano Hotend conversion right now.** If there is interest, I will try to make the same fit for the standard hotend. It's meant to be used with one of [these](https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07DB7DLMM?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_RKZ4MJ25RW3AYJJH5H8T&tag=thingiverse09-20) 5015 Blower Fans. You can mount the duct with 4 of the original M2 Socket head Screws. I attatched a simple flow analysis. As you can see it's not perfect, as the airflow is a bit biased to one side, but as far as my testing goes, it still works really well. The following additional parts are needed: + 2x [Ruthex M3 Threaded Insert](https://www.amazon.de/dp/B08BCRZZS3?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_663J0RQ2HRPRQYGTPMYZ) + 2x M3x22mm Socket Head Screw + 2x M3 Washer After printing use a Soldering Iron at around 200-300°C to melt the threaded inserts into the holes where the fan will be screwed in. Make sure, that the inserts are fully inserted. For maximum strength, melt them in from the left side. > Note: The heatblock needs a silicone sock, to prevent thermal runaway when fan spools up rapidly. **Warning**: When buying the fan, make sure the polarity is correct. I had to switch red and black on the fan I bought.
