Crux35 HD Improved VTX Mount
Description
This is an improved mount for the HDZero VTX for the Crux 35. The original one broke in a crash and during repair I was having a hard time finding parts and even after repairing the original it was a really tight fit to get to the nuts. This mount greatly simplifies the process. You will need the vibration dampers from above the board but you will not need the ones that went from the adapter to the VTX as they were redundant anyway. I have eliminated the lower standoffs to make this printable without supports and since they only held the lower bushings on they really are not needed as the screws that hold the FC can already do this. To assemble remove the 20mm to 25mm adapter/VTX mount and add the upper vibration dampers to your spare parts bin. Remove the lower vibration dampers and set them over the screws holding the FC down. Place the mount over the board with the standoffs pointing up and turn the screws on the bottom of the frame directly into the bottom of the mount. This will easily strip the plastic nuts below the flight controller but this is fine as they really only needed washers there to begin with. Mount the VTX over the standoffs and screw down with M2x5mm screws again screwing directly into the mount. You will likely need to chase the screw holes with a metal M2 screw to clean them up but after doing so you should be able to thread in plastic screws. I used screws printed from Elegoo ABS-Like resin and they worked great. Although I printed the mount on my Ender 3 I sized the holes right at 2 mm so it should work okay in resin as well.
