Dewalt Angle Grinder Dust Collector / Vacuum Attachment
Description
This a is dust collector for a Dewalt angle grinder. It connects to a 2.5" vacuum hose. It fits a 4.5" (115mm) angle grinder. The bottom cover attaches with 6mm x 2mm neodymium magnets. These can be readily bought online and superglued into the parts. The vacuum adapter is separate to make printing easier. I recommend attaching it with a 2-part epoxy. The test fit piece includes only the collet. This is a quick way to test if the dust shroud will fit your grinder. I built this for a Dewalt DCG414, although it should fit most other Dewalt angle grinders. I have used it indoors to cut plaster walls with extruded metal lath. # Safety Notice A plastic guard is not as safe as a metal guard. A broken grinding wheel will slice through plastic guards, safety goggles, and welding helmets like butter. I do not recommend using this part and if you do, treat your grinder like there is no guard at all (which is not smart). Furthermore, do not use a 6" wheel on a 4.5" grinder.
