Self Made Hinge

Self Made Hinge

Description

I created this simple hinge in Blender just to learn the best building process and to test a print-in-place object on my 3d printer. I'm fairly well versed in the use of Blender for photo realistic rendering and animation, but this was a fun exercise to learn a more practical engineering use for the program. The hinge uses 45 degree cones inside (rather than a horizontal shaft) with a 0.2mm separation to allow it to print in place with no support needed (except I recommend using "support only touching the bed" to support the bottom of the round hinge cylinder) I have uploaded the original Blender file (version 3.1.0) if anyone wants to see how I built it using boolean, solidify, and mirror Modifiers. The .stl file ready to slice in whatever program you use. I sliced this in Ulitmaker Cura and printed it on an Creality Ender 3 Pro.
