X-Axis Cover
Description
I found other X-Axis Covers, but I didn't like the thin walled designs, or the fact that it was open on three sides. I designed this one so when you install it, you feed the X-Axis Limit Switch Cable through the square hole in the back, plug it into the limit switch, then install in factory position with original hardware. I did file and sand the final layer so it would fit tightly against the motor mounting bracket. This cover is tough. I put my full weight of 307lbs on it by standing it face up, and balancing on it with one foot. No deformation, no cracking, nothing. Oh, and the reason I closed up the back except for a small square opening was to keep people from sticking their finger in there. Yes, people are that silly sometimes. I glued the skull on before installing with CA Glue, just a small dab in the middle of the forehead of the skull. I did sand the rough side so it would be smooth and the glue would hold better.
