Description
The "Filabottle" Is A System For Using 2 Liter Bottles With The Filastruder. This Allows You To Print Large Quantities Of Filament Without Having To Constantly Refill The Hopper. And It Allows You To Store Pre-Mixed Large Batches Of Pellets In 2 Liter Bottles, Giving More Consistency And Protecting The Material From Humidity. Some Smaller Water Bottles Will Also Work, Such As The Blue Bottle In The 'Angled' Photo, If They Use The 2L Bottle Standard Cap. Updated To: - Add A "Comb" To Block The Flow Of Pellets Before Lifting Off The Filabottle, Making It Easier To Remove Cleanly. - Add An "Angle" Version That Has A 45 Degree Angle, Which Feeds Pellets Into The Filastruder If It'S Vertical. - Added Copies Of The Stls Rotated For Easy Printing. For Example, The Funnel Is Inverted So The Wide End Is On The Build Platform. To Print: - Print Either The Filabottlev2-Straight Or Filabottlev2-Angle-Print, Depending On Whether You Want The Bottle Straight Or Angled - Print Filabottlev2-Funnel-Print - Print Filabottlev2-Comb-Print - If You Need A Cap, Print Filabottlev2-Cap-Print Note That The Funnel, Comb And Angle Parts Have Two Stls. The Files Named -Print Are Oriented For Printing, And The Other Copies Are Oriented As They Are Used. To Use It: 1) Find A Clean, Dry 2 Liter Bottle, With A Cap. 2) Screw The Filafunnel Onto The Bottle. Pour In The Base Material And Colorant. 3) Remove The Funnel, Put On The Cap, And Shake Until The Colorant Is Evenly Mixed. 4) Remove The Funnel. 5) Screw On The Filadapter And Insert The Comb. Invert The Bottle And Slot It Into The Filastruder. If Your Filastruder Is Horizontal, Use The "Straight" Version, And If Your Filastruder Is Angled Or Vertical, Use The "Angle" Version. 4) Remove The Comb So The Pellets Flow Into The Filastruder, And Extrude Filament. 5) When You'Re Done Extruding For The Day, Replace The Comb To Stop The Pellets, Remove The Bottle, And Put The Cap Back On The Bottle, To Keep The Plastic Sealed. You Might Need To Lift The Filadapter Slightly To Let The Pellets Loosen So You Can Get The Comb In.
