Wheres Wally Glasses

Description

The glasses design of Wally, a.k.a Waldo, and Odlaw, his nemesis, is based on the 1991 cartoon series of Where’s Wally. Printing: Print your selected design at 100% scale. I printed the components on my resin printer with the hinges towards the print bed and added a support structure. Clean Up: Remove the support structure. Use jeweller’s files and/or sharp blades to get the hinges to work smoothly. Hinges: In the frame hinges, drill the upper hole to 3.0mm and the lower hole to 2.5mm. Thread the lower hole using an M3 tap. In the arms, drill the hinge hole to 3.0mm. Paint: Paint the frame, arm and screw heads using gloss black spray paint. Lens: Use the template as a guide to scribe the corresponding lens pattern onto a piece of 1mm clear polycarbonate sheet. Use heavy-duty scissors or tin-snips to cut out the lenses. Use a small file to smooth the edges. For higher strength, glue the Odlaw lenses into the frame. Assembly: Assemble the arms to the frames using M3x12mm screws. Be careful not to over-tighten the screws. The models were created in ViaCAD. Check out my video clip: https://youtu.be/XlwxsrwHdVk
