Compact/slim variant of LucidVR Gloves
Description
My son watched the brilliant LucidGloves project by Lucas VRTech on Youtube and wanted a pair of his own. After downloading the files, it was evident that the parts would not fit his small hands. So I have downsized the parts so it will fit a size 6 hand. Thanks a lot to Lucas(?) for his idea and sharing it with us all! I will continue work on improving what I started and hope my contribution will help his project. Also working on a couple of fixes for the SW, as the AD-conversion of the ESP32 is not stable and sometimes results in readings that are out of range. Modifications were done using Sketchup 2016. File attached. Printed using Cura - project file attached. All files can be printed with standard settings without support, except the haptic spool that requires support (sorry for &%¤ up this one). The hole for the string on the haptic spool is also not printing well and may need you to drill it up afterwards. Hope someone else find it useful. See pictures for hints about the modifications I have done and how to mount. Note that you can not use the full steel spring, but should cut it down to about 15-20cm to make it fit in the tensioner. Also, the servo arm must be cut so that it matches the radius of the spool. I have marked the project as work-in-progress, but have successfully printed and tested that it works. Good luck.
