IC Tube - Vase Mode with cap
Description
IC storage tube that prints in vase-mode for very low filament usage, and fast printing. On my Ender 5 Pro, 120mm long (fit in my parts drawers) take about 40 mins, and 200mm long, hold 10x 16-pin DIPs, take about 1 hr 8 mins, and the caps, which are not meant to be printed in vase mode, can print a plate of 42 of them in under 2 hours. The tubes are solid objects, meant to be printed in vase mode (Spiralize in Cura), which gives them a solid end on the plate and as much length as you'd like to stretch them in the Z axis. You literally just adjust the Z-scale for the length you want, since it's a solid object, it just works (assuming your printer mechanics don't give it grief when it gets too long). The caps are friction-fit over the open end of the tube. Due to differences in printers, you may need to adjust it's X/Y scales +/- a percent or two in order to get a good fit. The STLs are sized to print well on my Ender 5 Pro with 0.4mm nozzle in PLA. I also designed another style of storage tube that isn't vase mode, but that has a window along it's length so you can see how many and what kind of ICs are inside. It's not vase mode, so you can do a whole plate of them at once instead of one at a time. See it here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5371165
