Sailboat Wind Spinner

Sailboat Wind Spinner

Description

This sailboat wind spinner sits on top of a 4x4 fence post. It spins even in light winds and for me is both fun and relaxing. It can be printed as a two boat spinner or four boats spinning in opposite directions. For assembly you will need: A file or sandpaper to make the tight tolerances fit together. 4 Skateboard bearings (Stainless steel and ceramic would be best for outdoor life) 24 Stainless Steel #6x5/8 screws Flat top. Harbor Freight carries assorted SS screws for not much $ 1 Stainless Steel M8x100mm bolt (4 boats) 1 Stainless Steel M8x50mm bolt (2 boats) 1 M8 nylock nut Superglue for the mast Sail fabric or equivalent. My local sail maker happily gave me scraps. $0 Sewing machine and thread 1/4 inch grommet kit (Optional but recommended. Works best with heavy duty fabric or light duty with a bit of sail tape on the bottom corner of the sail.) String for the sail sheets. Set to a beam reach. https://youtu.be/XL35LD01T2I The youtube video is my prototype. This upload has many improvements. Note: If slicing with Cura, Use support blockers on the screw holes of the boat hulls. There are youtube videos on how to do this.
