Experimental Lazy Susan / Motorized Turntable Converter
Description
Please note: it's a work in progress. Meaning that theoretically the project works, but it's far for optimized and could be improved a lot by incorporating a bigger motor and perhaps some pulleys into the mechanism. However, I managed to finish my display. So here is a bit of inspiration and a base for those who would like to go further in the rabbit hole of motorized turntable converters. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention what makes this project different: Unlike other 3D turntables on the internet, this one incorporates a cheap store-bought Lazy Susan that can be connected to the motors by just placing it onto the stand. The gears click in place and there you go: a motorized turntable. Then, when you're done, you can take the Lazy Susan off the stand and put it back in the kitchen without your wife noticing anything.
