Squirt V2 Airfoil (Hollow) Short Ducts

Squirt V2 Airfoil (Hollow) Short Ducts

Description

My cinewhoop flew horribly and was not fun to fly at all. I tried a few different ducts and did not notice any difference, but after cutting off a set of original ducts, I found that it made a big difference with wind, but did not solve other weird motor spool-ups and wonky handling. I decided to redesign the ducts to have the prop tips at the narrowest opening of the duct, where airflow would be the fastest and air pressure would be the lowest. The short duct with a wider opening immediately below the blades would allow the air to be exhausted very efficiency without having to force the air through an additional 15mm of ductwork. Since these are shorter than standard ducts, you will need six(6)-20mm standoffs to install the ducts at the correct height. There are left and right ducts with cutouts to minimize the ducts coming into view when using your camera's widest setting at 0 degrees tilt. Unfortunately, the Hero 9 has a little wider FOV than the H7 and will sometimes show a little. Enjoy this version of the duct with the Gemfan 76mm 5-blade or HQ Prop 76mm 8 blade props. Depending on the material you use, you may have to increase the size of the ducts by 100.15% for nylon or if you don't want to "grind-in" your props for fit. The left and right ducts have different cutaways for the GoPro Hero's off-center lense. If you want the ducts to be symmetrical, use the RIGHT side duct and reverse the mesh for the left side. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DUCTS ARE HOLLOW AND SUPPORTS ARE NEEDED FROM THE BED ONLY! OTHERWISE THERE WILL BE SUPPORTS INTERNALLY AND INCREASE WEIGHT!
