Sly-Eyes | Sly Profit goggle Anti-fog Eye cooler.
Description
I like the Sly Profit goggles. I like the way they feel. I like the field of view. However there is an issue. It just doesn't vent. Even the face guard holds in all the heat you breath out. But like any goggle, they fog up on hot and humid days. I wanted to install a anti-fog fan systems, don't like the options that are out there. So I designed my own. It fits over the top vent on the Sly Profit goggle and allows a 30mm fan to be mounted. This allows you to either blow air into the goggles, or suck air out. Conventional wisdom suggested sucking out will pull the humidity out of your goggle and clear the lens. This only makes sense if you are using some sort of humidity sensor to turn it on when needed. I want to cool my eyes. So I have it blow in. And I run the fan on all the time. Keeps my eyes cool and the fog gone. You can run it however you like. you can even build a humidity sensor if you like. Otherwise you can run wires to a battery. I use a 4400 mah Li-Ion battery strapped to the back of one of the elastics. I plug it in and it turns on. The battery lasts all day. To secure this bad boy to the mask, you use a single zip tie. Before you install the fan, you run the zip tie around the diffuser in the center. Then install the fan. PRINTING.. Well, this is how I print it..... I use Prusa Slic3r 1.42 still. In Slic3r I turn on support, but block support to everywhere but the overhang of the fan. My printer is spectacular at bridging. So my printer will print the top of the duct without support. You can print it how ever works best for your printer.
