Triathlon hydration aerobars system & garmin mount
Description
Here's my battle tested, low cost, semi ghetto but not too ghetto hydration and garmin mount system. Print 2 of the "bottle support", glue in the right size nut, and screw in a bottle cage. That length does not pop out on the road. Earlier versions with less plastic did. I could have printed a single piece, which would probably be more aero, but this version works. Standard print settings, decent amount of infill. You will have to tinker with bar width unless yours are setup exactly like mine, but the STL is so simple that it should be easy to do. Onto the garmin mount. The standard version I think I have posted before, it works with horizontal bars. The Jun22 version is at an angle, so the garmin is pretty much horizontal in front of the wind, which lowers drag, but more importantly, is easier to read. The mount pops in and out (without breaking) to allow access to the bottle. All printed with standard PLA, 3d printer, settings. If anyone is interested, i made a hole in the water bottle, put a plastic tube in, put a platypus water bladder mouth thingy from an old bladder I had laying around, and I got myself a very nice hydration system from a grand total of a dollar or 2. Happy cycling.
