Crutch Basket (non-vase mode)
Description
Sustained a foot injury recently, and am bound to crutches for a while. I hate not being able to have my hands free to carry things, and browsed around for some things to make crutch life easer. User dirtybirdnj designed a cool vase-mode print for a crutch basket which fits between the two posts of U.S. crutches. I've always had issues with thin walls when printing on my CE3 in vase mode, and wanted something a little more heavy duty. So I played in TinkerCad and simply made this remix, giving the basket 2mm walls all the way around. This uses about 62g of filament (roughly 21 meters), and took about 5 hours to print with PLA through a 0.6mm nozzle, but it turned out really sturdy. Thanks again to dirtybirdnj for doing the hard part and sharing such a cool thing! I'll include some post-printing pics as soon as I have the time.
