Vocore 5" Dash Enclosure for Fanatec CSL-DD & DDGT-Pro Wheel Base
Description
Vocore 5" Dash Enclosure for Fanatec csl-dd & dd-gtpro wheel bases Hi everybody! This is my first project shared to Thingiverse. Feedback is welcome - I hope this comes in handy for someone who was looking for what I was. The original design was great - main tweaks were for mounting & narrowing the complete build down. The case design itself was already great and I take no credit for it. :) Special thanks in general go to Michael Laws @ TeachingTech - if it wasn't for your videos so many of us would never have gotten anywhere. Righto boys & girls here's what I did: Printed the 4 stl files on my FLSUN Super Racer - 0.2mm layers, 100% infill, 100mm/sec. No supports needed. Pictured print is using eSun PLA+ at 210/60 Parts: M3 x 16mm Bolt (x4) M6 x 16mm Bolt (x2) 10mm x 3mm Magnet (x4) Vocore screen 5" (x1) Hot glue gun cable tie (x1) 2m braided Micro USB cable What I have remixed: Base Plate: Changed screw holes to 3mm Added in magnet mounts to suit 10mm x 3mm magnets Added notch to bottom right for USB cable Dropped the overall height down from (I think) 17mm to 10mm - quicker to print, neater package, and plenty of room for the USB cable I used. Centre Plate: Unchanged Top Plate: Unchanged CSL-DD/DD-GTPro Bracket: Designed simple adjustable magnet bracket to suit CSL DD / DD-GT Pro wheel base. I believe the spacing also suits other Fanatec wheel bases but I am unable to test. I should have made the arms for the screw holes wider to match the cross bar - it would have been neater & stronger. I may update this but this won't affect usage in any way. Used a small dab of glue to hold magnets in bracket. Other Notes: Had issue with the base warping with pictured print, however warping was minimal and actually suited the design of the case so I am moving it from the 'mistake' column to the 'undocumented feature' column. Used a small cable tie to hold USB cable in place - any pressure on cable will be stopped by USB plug & cable tie and will not damage ribbon connectors on the screen Simhub Setup: 1) Install Windows Driver: Link to current USB drivers for Windows 10/11: https://simhubdash.com/Drivers/VOCOREScreenSetup.exe (I have tested in Windows 11 and it works fine) 2) In Simhub under Dash Studio / VOCORE and 'enable display' 3) adjust settings to taste and you're done! That's really it!
