Golf shoe spikes

Golf shoe spikes

Description

I made simple golf shoe spikes that I gorilla glued onto some old generic sneakers. I ordered new golf shoes online, but they are two weeks out. I didn't want to buy spikes to add to my sneakers as I already ordered new golf shoes, but I wanted more traction in the meantime, so I used tinkercad to design these simple golf shoe spikes spikes. Instructions I printed with silk PLA because it was already on my printer, but you can print with whatever you want. The hole in the center is there for the gorilla glue to expand through to have extra hold, or you could drill a hole through the shoe and place a 4mm bole through extra spike (original plan). I washed the bottom of the shoe and applied the glue to the still wet shoe where i wanted the spikes. Then I placed and held the spikes firmly on the glue for a few seconds each. The I placed the shoes over paper on the floor (spikes down) and placed a heavy box on top for 2 hours (per gorilla glue instructions). This allowed the glue to expand into the shoe and around the spikes. After 24 hours the glue will be fully cured and ready for use. If a spike comes off during use, you can simply re-glue it. I have yet to test them, but I will update soon.
