Valve Index frunk fans with switch
Description
Exact same model as the original by RandomMode except I added a compartment to house a tiny switch. Without a switch the fans would be always on. Switch model: EG1218 SLIDE SWITCH, SPDT, 0.2A, 30VDC Switch body dimensions: L:11.66mm W:4mm H:5.40mm I bought a bunch of switches from this store: https://sinuss.nl/products/eg1218-slide-switch-spdt-02a-30vdc-th-e-switch The original mesh print fine but apparently was exported with very high poly count. I cleaned up the mesh in Meshmixer so the poly count would be 1/5 of the original and still look great. The rest of the work was done in Sketchup Pro 2022 (.skp file provided). The wires are connected to the switch pins using Dupont female connectors but without the plastic connector housing because it's too tall. I only used heat shrink tubes to insulate the connectors. I recommend unscrewing the Index's main cover plate and drill holes in it as shown on the photo. This greatly improves cooling even when not using the frunk fans at all.
