Description

I am currently kit bashing an Arduino Lab/Work Station/Learning Station that I think Gridfinity would be fantastic for especial as I am constricted to an Ender 5 pro build plate of 220 x 220 x 300, and I say that tongue in cheek, build plate. I started with TAYLOR LOYKASEK idea https://bit.ly/3PDNxQh and designed version 1. This is Taylor's version https://bit.ly/3z95m2r . This was too big for the Ender 5 Pro. If memory serves me right just the top section was due to take 1 day and 9 hours to print. The various plates in the parts list were from the original designer of Gridfinity Zach Freedman of Voidstar Lab on YouTube https://bit.ly/3zAGxhr . Having found Gridfinity and loved his idea and energy, plus he's bit nuts I felt it was a good sign. Gridfinity Plates and adapters can be found at https://bit.ly/3PUEmur . These parts are fantastic as in Fusion 360 you can adjust the whole thing by just amending a few numbers in the parameters. So, with version 2, I had a eureka moment quite literally in the bath and thought why re-invent the wheel. So I decided to break it down into component parts and felt that don’t work harder work smarter, and the Void Star community is great. You can find them on Discord. It will still take a few days of printing but if something breaks at least I will be able to just print the part I need. Now on the top tray Pt 1, the section with the breadboard tray I will print the wire rack sections separately as they are likely to be the weakest part and may require replacing more than the rest. The Wire Rack was from Nikolai Zoller at https://bit.ly/3zdlSyn The Drawers were from Machenna56k at https://bit.ly/3OHayQW & https://bit.ly/3zBsMiH When I have a bit more time, I will post a parts list that I use, I am currently waiting for payday and then filament won’t be an issue.
