USB accessibility joystick with extra button port
Description
This is a housing for using generic USB Arcade kits for accessibility. Any USB arcade will work as long as it uses a typical SANWA style microswitch joystick and an Easyget button to usb board. These can typically be gotten on amazon for about $20 total. Optionally, you can re-solder the K5 - K8 button connectors to the backside of the board so you can connect additional buttons through the usb joystick. Take care not to short these connections and to rotate the connector such that the same wires connect to the same pins. Xbox accessibility controllers only recognize the K5 - K8 buttons (sometimes labeled L1, R1, L2, R2) To assemble, first screw in the joystick and glue in the usb board before wiring them together. Then you can just glue the three parts together with a thick bead of hot glue. There is also a hole on the back plate for adding a 1/4-20 15mm threaded insert allowing the joystick to be independently mounted.
