Tent Phone Holder
Description
Remix of a remix from WoodlandPursuit, adapted for a tent lantern hook and not a ridgeline. Almost all of the pieces have been modified, indicated by any file with "*_v2.stl" in the name. Mods were done to reduce size/weight (for UL backpacking), increase adhesion points on the bed, and to increase strength as the first time I used the OG rig some parts broke on my backpacking trip. Ex: I split apart ball joint set so it could be printed in a different orientation for strength and reduce the amount of supports needed, also allows you to take apart the ball joint at storage is safer when the pieces can separate. I also modified the "phone ridges" to be curved vs. V-shaped, holds my S21 Ultra with silicone case much better. Print settings for all parts are listed below. Print in the orientation of the STL file. PLA Filament Infill = 40% Walls = 4 (1.6 MM) (3 would work but <3 adds infill to GoPro joints and reduces strength) Support Infill = 10% Support Placement = Touching Buildplate Support Z Distance = 0.2 mm Modified Parts: * GoProMount_v2 = Supports ONLY under the threads (support block GoPro holes) * GoProBall_v2 = Supports ONLY under "curved neck" of ball (support block GoPro holes) * GoProBall_Socket_v2 = No supports * GoProBall_SocketNut_v2 = No supports * PhoneMountLong_v2 = No Supports * PhoneMountUpper_v2 = No Supports Original Parts: * PhoneMountNut_03mm (Original Part) = No Supports * RidglelineHangerV1.1 (Original Part) = Supports only on ridgeline end, not the GoPro end. (support block GoPro holes) New Parts (tent only, replaces "RidglelineHangerV1.1") * TentOnlyHanger_v2 = Supports only on the hook end, not the GoPro end. (support block GoPro holes) Finishing Touches: No sanding required if you do the supports right. I like the final product with small parts in one color PLA and big parts in another contrasting color. I also added some 2mm sticky foam into the "groves" for holding the phone for some additional friction and cushion. Remixed via Blender, because that's what I know. ;-)
