LoLa-59 wing hinge set
Description
This is my first design for a 3d model, I made this addition for Prop_Vaults outstanding LoLa so her wings can open and close over her engine bay. Print flat side down for the engine bays and top hinge. Print the inner and outer hinges on their sides. I used the super quality settings in Cura slicer for mine because the parts are so small. When installed they allow the lower hinge to slide up and down to let her wings clear the upper body, DO NOT glue the lower hinge sliders in place. They need to slide up and down in the engine bay slots. The hinges are designed for 1.75 filament to act a hinge pins. I had to use a small #50 drill to clean the holes in mine. I used small pliers to press the pins through the upper and lower hinges the n trimmed the excess. Try not to over drill the holes,The holes need to be fairly tight to hold up the wings through friction on the hinge pins. You will also need to make holes (slots) in the head to accommodate the sliding hinge length, to do this I glued the engine bay pieces in place, then used a drill and file to make through holes in the bottom of the engine bay hinge slots to allow the lower hinges to pass through the head. The lower hinge length was needed for stability ;especially for the outer hinges.
