Gaggia MDF Stepless flange

Gaggia MDF Stepless flange

Description

This is a 3D printed flange that covers up the detents on the Gaggia MDF upper burr carrier. Based on this thread https://www.home-barista.com/grinders/new-mdf-gaggia-stepless-mod-mod-mod-t33858.html it looked like would be easy to 3D print a flange that covered up the detents so that the grind adjustments would be stepless. I noticed that jkim-makes had done the same kind of mod for the Fellow Ode ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5159393 ) so it inspired me to go ahead of make the mod for my Gaggia MDF. The side with the ridges faces the detents on the upper burr carrier assembly, and the smooth side faces the spring loaded "pins". The ridges rest in the detents to support the other side as the pins push against the gasket. I don't use the teflon tape at all, and depend on the pressure from spring loaded detent pins to stabilize the upper burr carrier.
