Jacob's ladder base for mason jar
Description
This is a base to house a small jacob's ladder. The electronics consist of: A non-pulsed high voltage transformer: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08PDQDCKM?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details A 3-4V battery. I used an 18650. A battery holder. There are many printable 18650 battery holders here on Thingiverse. A switch: The switch holder was designed for a micro switch like these: https://www.amazon.com/RuoFeng-Microwave-Arcade-Cherry-V-15-1C25/dp/B07HFNKTMG/ The switch I used was salvaged from a washing machine. The battery is wired to the low voltage side of the transformer through the switch. The high voltage side of the transformer is connected to two thin wires that run out of the top of the case. You can play around with the spread of the wires to get the effect you like. The button is inserted through the case and the switch is placed on its bracket and the bracket is glued to the inside of the case so that the button just presses the switch and can't fall out. I glued down the components inside the case with hot glue. A small, regular mouth, mason jar is screwed on top to keep people from accidentally touching it and to contain the ozone.
