10" Oscar Statue
Description
I can't remember whose scan of an Oscar Statue was my original source. It was crap anyway. Impossible to print because of a thousand flaws. I fixed all of the flaws and scaled it to 10" overall height and split it into front and back halves. This produces a much nicer finish and prevents those common failures on tall printouts. It has 5 5mm alignment holes where You can put cut-off screws before gluing the halves together. The holes have triangular tops so no overhang printing gunk will get in there. I've added a conical void in the base, which can be filled with metal junk mixed with glue for weight. I've got old bins of nuts and bolts which I could use. Being conical, nothing requires supports. I use a single line of Skirt to prime the nozzle. No rafts or brim is required because of full build plate contact. Glue it with crazy glue.
