Bobby Car Neo - New TPU whisper tires

Description

DE: Wir haben uns für das Bobby Car Neo entschieden, da es unter anderem "Flüsterreifen" hat. Zwar sind diese schon leiser als die klassischen Plastikräder, aber sie waren uns immernoch zu laut für die Wohnung. Deshalb habe ich Ersatzräder erstellt, die in TPU gedruckt werden können und nochmal deutlich leiser laufen. Sie werden anstelle der Original Gummireifen des Bobby Car Neo verwendet. Diese lassen sich (mit ein wenig Kraft) ohne Probleme von der Felge abziehen und genauso lassen sich die gedruckten Reifen anbringen. Die Reifen besitzen ein Profil mit Laufrichtung (nur für die Optik versteht sich). Aus platzgründen im Radhaus sind die Flanken aber nicht symmetrisch. Auf der Innenseite sind die Flanken flach, auf der Außenseite leicht abgeschrägt. (wie auf dem Info Bild beschrieben) ! Deshalb gibt es jeweils eine Datei für Rechts und eine gespiegelte für Links. Beide müssen natürlich jeweils 2x gedruckt werden. Hier noch meine Printsettings: Quality: Gedruckt mit mit 0.3 Layerhöhe mit einer 0.6er Düse. 0.2 LH mit einer 0.4er Düse sollte auch kein Problem sein, ich wollte nur deutlich Druckzeit einsparen. Infill: Damit sich die Hohlraumfüllung nicht zu sehr selbst versteift, habe ich als infill pattern das "gyroid"-Muster gewählt, was sehr gut funktioniert. Außerdem habe ich in Cura noch die Funktion "connect infill lines" aktiviert, zur Stabilisierung. Ich habe die Räder mit 10% Infill gedruckt, mehr würde ich auf keinen Fall machen, da der Reifen sonst schon wieder zu hart wird. Ich denke zwischen 5% und 10% dürfte optimal sein. Support: Hier ist zunächst zu beachten, dass die Reifen für einen einfacheren Druck immer mit der flachen Flanke nach unten gedruckt werden sollten, so ist hier schonmal kein Support notwendig. Da der obere Felgenrand bei mir ohne Support nicht sauber gedruckt wurde, habe ich hier den "Tree Support" aktiviert. Leider wurde dann auch außenrum wegen der mittigen Profilrille ein Support erstellt, den ich mittels manuellem Support Blocker aber unterdrückt habe. Fazit: Wir sind sehr zufrieden, unser Kleiner mag die Reifen auch, sie sind leiser als die Originalen und laufen dazu auch noch etwas besser ;) Vielleicht möchte ja noch jemand da draußen sein Bobby Car Neo wohnungstauglicher tunen ;) ###################################################################### EN: We chose the Bobby Car Neo because, among other things, it comes with "whisper tires". Although these are already quieter than the classic plastic wheels, they were still too loud for our apartment/indoors. That's why I created replacement wheels that can be printed in TPU and run even quieter. They are used instead of the original rubber tires of the Bobby Car Neo. These can be pulled off the rim without any problems (with a little force) and the printed tires can be attached in the same way. The tires have a directional profile (just for the look, of course). For reasons of space in the wheelhouse, however, the flanks are not symmetrical. The flanks are flat on the inside and slightly beveled on the outside. (see info picture) ! Therefore there is one file for the right and one mirrored for the left. Both must of course be printed twice. Here are my print settings: Quality: Printed with 0.3 layer height with a 0.6 nozzle. 0.2 LH with a 0.4 nozzle shouldn't be a problem either, I just wanted to save a lot of printing time. infill: So that the cavity filling does not stiffen itself too much, I chose the "gyroid" pattern, which works very well. I also activated the "connect infill lines" function in Cura for stabilization. I printed the wheels with 10% infill, I wouldn't do more because otherwise the tire would be too hard again. I think between 5% and 10% should be optimal. Support: First of all, it should be noted that the tires should always be printed with the flat side down for easier printing, so no support is necessary here. Since the upper edge of the rim was not printed cleanly without support, I activated "Tree Support" here. Unfortunately, a support was also created on the outside because of the central profile groove, which I suppressed using a manual support blocker. Conclusion: We are very satisfied, our little boy likes the tires too, they are quieter than the originals and also run a little better ;) Maybe someone else out there would like to pimp their Bobby Car Neo to make it more suitable for an apartment ;)
