28mm Eclipse Arcade Button Cap
Description
This is a REMIX of giange77's awesome arcade button inside trim insert using CantKillUsAll's button spacer, taking just the blank concave button top from the prior and mixing the two to make it into a cap that replaces the stock convex cap that comes with (my favorite) LED-lit Eclipse Arcade Button at the link below. I'm sure that it's also possible to remix giange77's entire inside trim inserts to fit this button just right, but I haven't managed to do that successfully just yet! American Style Black Center Eclipse 28mm Hole Illuminated Push Buttons https://www.diyretroarcade.com/collections/2021-a1u-3-4-scale/products/american-style-black-center-eclipse-28mm-hole-illuminated-push-buttons-with-micro-switch-for-arcade-machine-1 I also added a rubber o-ring under the stock button insert top rim (see below, it should fit giange77's too), which helps to quiet the clicking noise. This easy mod and the concave top cap (which is a bit textured), makes the buttons much more tactile and responsive and keeps my fat fingers from slipping off of them while playing. :o) For the ultimate arcade button upgrade, pair these two easy mods with Nussss' super-cool Leaf Switches at the link below. You can also put an M3 12mm hex screw in the switch arm to allow precise tuning of the switch activation by adjusting the lift of the bottom leaf (you can see it in the picture), making this the best-looking, best-feeling, quietest, and most accurate arcade button out there (IMO).
