Small Clear Tube
Description
Small clear tube container for storing small parts. FDM printers aren't well known for making optically clear prints, so this is a mixed-material design that uses 4Mil sheet plastic for the tube body. The sheets are expected to be cut with scissors. The 3D model snaps together, capturing the sheet plastic through punched holes. The holes can be as small as 2mm, but a 1/8"/3mm punch is recommended. Punching holes is optional but leads to a stronger snap fit. The lengths specified relate to the dimensions of the sheet (not to be confused with the final tube height). Two types of tube tops are provided that give different fittings to the cap. The `Top_Med` design is recommended for more precise prints. The `Top_Loose` can be used for a looser fitting or to compensate if your printer prints are a little thick. When printing the pieces, it is recommended to use a different color for the cap to differentiate it as a separate piece. The transparency film will pick up fingerprints easily.
