S550 Mustang Toggle Switches

S550 Mustang Toggle Switches

Description

I didn't like how the non-premium S550 mustang had buttons instead of switches for hazard lights, traction control, and steering wheel mode. So a friend of mine sent me rough dimensions for his premium package toggle switches, and I made a CAD for a set of 3 switches to replace the buttons. I used a cutoff nail to secure each switch to the switch box, but anything that's cylinder shaped and fits the hole should work. The light insert should be printed with some kind of clear filament if you want light to be visible on the front of the switch, I used clear PETG. Some sanding might be required for the button to move smoothly through the switch box. ------------------------------------------------IMPORTANT------------------------------------------------------- You will need to remove the entirety of your dash and center console to remove and replace the buttons. It's not that hard, but it's necessary to swap out the buttons for switches. Here's a good tutorial- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZ8U_djscjw You can stop the video at 6:45, the rest of the video is replacing the whole system. You then have to take off the black plastic cover on the back of the removed system, this is done by taking out 10-15(I can't remember the exact count) screws. This will expose the whole motherboard. You then need to take out the 5-7(I can't remember this either) silver screws holding the mother board on. This gives you access to the buttons, you need to keep the large bracket that holds all of the buttons in, the one that the start button is attached to. But take out all of the buttons and individual brackets that hold them in. If this is too confusing text me at 682-213-1756, I can walk you through it step by step.
