There is another design floating around that uses the unoccupied socket for the shifter 'shelf' after mounting the shifter according to one's preference for right or left hand driving. I use my chair for trucking sims, so I can get away with mounting it on the steering strap. If you intend to play with any more intensity than what a trucking simulator typically demands, I would recommend the design I mentioned earlier! This is the second version of my under mounted cup holder that uses the unoccupied desk clamps of a G29 or G920 steering wheel. It now features ribbing for increased rigidity and longevity. There is also a slight bevel on the corner of the upper surface. The pic that shows you the way to attach features an older iteration of this design. The attachment mechanism is exactly the same. Print this with the upper surface on the bed. Doing this reduces the need for supports while printing!
