Garbage Bag Holder, Presenting - WallBin
Description
A scalable, durable long-term solution for a garbage bin that doesn't take up more floor space and utilized the full capacity of whatever bag you happen to have so I came up with this, works everywhere except outside. Your choice ordinary garbage bag will work fine with this build no matter the length width or height. Though I haven't tried thick heavy duty bags but the current tolerances might allow it. You will need some tools and know how to build the print. I used a soldering pen to weld the body and lid half's together. (See images for a technique) Be sure when welding, the bodies are flat together. When the bodies done, place the 2 halves of the lid in the Body (ensuring a decently snug fit )and weld the top. Let it cool then remove the lid and complete all sides. As far as mounting it to the wall I firstly pre-drilled 2 holes on top support as well as bottom as to not cause any fractures when I screwed 4 screws through it to a wall beam.(I don't think I hit a beam with the one mounted in my room.) Keep your mounting spots low through the body because that's where the stress of the weight of the bag will go. (See Images for Pre-drill mounting hole positions.) If that's to much you could always use double sided tape or sum. Keep in mind as halves the body is most weakest at the biggest support where it connects to the rim, this actually spilt with one of mine pre-assembly. If that happens to happen with you just do as I did welding it back. Don't worry this won't affect structural integrity. Tell me what cha tink! Haven't seen anything like it. If I could change anything about it I would design a better mounting system, already have a few ideas. Cheers!
