Ender 3 Power Switch
Description

Ender 3 Power Switch

Relocate your Power Switch to the Front of your Machine

This is simply a power switch case that is bolted onto the front of an Ender 3 (in my case Ender 3 V2). The steps that I used to install are as follows:
+ NOTE: Make sure your printer is calibrated properly so the tolerances will work. + CAUTION: Please be careful! Please don't mess around with your power supply unless you have proper preparation or experience with electricity and how it works. I am not responsible for you frying yourself or frying your 3D printer if you do not do this properly. BE CAREFUL! BE SMART! BE PREPARED! 1. Print the parts I provided. About a 2-hour print time maximum. Allow cooldown. 2. Unplug the 3D printer ENTIRELY from any power source. 3. Disconnect power cables from the switch and Extend the power cables that connect to the power supply so that it reaches the front. I used about 12 inches of ~14 gauge wire and it works perfectly. Also, Mark the ends so you know which power cable goes to the correct terminal on the switch. 4. Remove the two screws holding on the front left panel. 5. Install the base using the two screws. 5.a. There is a small hole in the front of the base used for easy access for a hex wrench to tighten the inner screw. 6. Take the newly extended power cables and string them through the side panel holes and through the rectangular hole. 7. Carefully reattach the power cables to the correct terminals. Cover with shrink tubing or electrical tape for safety. 8. Press the switch into the rectangular hole with the circle symbol closest to the printer. 9. Cable management. 10. After ensuring the cables are in the right terminals and you have followed all the steps correctly so far, plug your printer into the power and use the switch to turn on the printer. DO NOT TOUCH THE SWITCH TERMINALS. You don't want a nasty shock or to fry your printer. 11. Once you have confirmed that the printer is functional, press fit the side panel into the main switch housing. 11.a. You may need to clean up the print if it had any over extrusions or doesn't fit properly. 12. Once the side panel is press-fitted, you have completed this mod!
You now have a front-mounted power switch!
BONUS: You can now use the gaping hole where the switch once was to run the wires to the print head and stepper motors so it's no longer just coming out of the bottom like some creepy Thanksgiving Day parade float.
