Geeetech A20M/A10M hotend Mount and fan Blower) duct
Description
This is a Hot-end cover and fan duct for Geeetech A20M/A10M 3D printers. the design uses two 5015 blowers for cooling down the heatsink and one 7530 blower for cooling down filament. as its known most of open source-low cost FFF/FDM 3D printers share common issues such as hotend and nozzle clogging and retraction issues, particularly for Geeetech products which are suffering in this side. this issue can be overcome by some steps that encouraged to use with this hotend cover design which are: 1- Luke method inside the hotend which can be found in google. u can search and use this method. for details, you can contact me (for solving clogging issue). 2- using silicon sock for heating block. as it known, finding a silicon sock for geeetech is somehow difficult, thus, u can download an STL file on thingiverse for a mold to be used to make a sock using silicon glue, however for me I prefer just using silicon glue directly to isulate the heating block and remove it later when needed using alcohol. 3- for 3D printing, its needed to keep the up part of the hot-end cool and the down part(heating block) hot, thus, u need to have an effective cooling system for the heatsink which in this design dual 5015 blowers are used and small passages are designed on the interior of the hotend mount body. the cooling air should strike the heatsink on down part of the heasink and take out part of the air also from down and direct the remaining to goes up to cool down the whole heatsink. taking some of the air out after cooling down to reduce back pressure on the blowers. this method along with silicon sock also aids in reducing clogging as well as enhancing retraction. 4- from time to time you need to change the nozzle, as old/defected nozzle may reduce the retraction performance. -the fan duct is designed to be a little big to reduce back pressure on the blower. - for any inquiry, ideas, plz contact on my email: h7habeel@@gmail.com
