400 ft Bulk loader
Description
I printed mine with a .5 nozzle and .2mm layer height. Bed 85C and nozzle 240C. The cover can be printed on its back with no supports but looks better printed on its side with supports. If printing on its side, pay attention to the direction of the supports vs the first layer. On simplify3D I used 45 and 270 degrees for support directions. The support layer direction ended 45 degrees to the first print layer which worked out well. Mine took a little sanding and fitting, I think it might go better with a .4 mm nozzle. The finish work was not bad and went fast. Your printer really needs to print square or the lid will be difficult to fit. I drew the lid over the base, so alignment is exact. The problem is the lid is flipped over when printing, so any dimension errors are compounded. I used 1.5mm self stick felt that came from amazon. The way I do this is to cut the felt strip a little long and stick it down inside the loader first. Before doing this I peel the backing off and fold it back over itself right where it would enter the slot. You want enough backing so that the folded over piece sticks out where the film cassette goes so you can pull it back over itself. Save that backing. Do the other side the same way so that you can pull the backing back over itself. Put the saved piece of backing over the second piece of felt on the felt side. It will help you slide it into the slot easier.
