VICTORIAN MANSION SECOND FLOOR
Description
This is the second floor of the Victorian Mansion model. Depending on your printer, some components may require some minimum minor trimming. Commercially produced 4'x8' plywood flooring wasn't produced in this country until 1927. So the flooring boards are solid lumber and in a real construction site they would be installed on the flooring joists before the walls were built. I use index card stock to represent the flooring, saves many hours of printing time. Stair detail is not included. I did not include closet walls. I exclusively print with PLA and have found that ordinary clear lacquer thinner (Nail polish remover) is a wonderful glue. Make a small test for yourself of two pieces of scrap PLA and give it a try. Let sit for 20 seconds and then try to break it apart. It leaves no residue and is applied with a small brush. I've been using lacquer thinner as a glue on stryene and PLA for years. No sloppy or messy glue to show when finished. This build is the second floor only, the attic is currently in the design/test phase. If you would like me to design a custom model for you contact me at: garylavart@yahoo.com. It is totally free but I will post it on Thingiverse for others to print and enjoy.
